He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Leo Nance and Eunice Wooten Nance; his daughter Michelle Renee Henson; and his brothers, James Michael Nance, Leo L. Nance and Alvin Wayne Nance.
He is survived by: his children, Heidi Anne Lowery of Jacksonville, FL and Scott Wade Nance (Julie) of Williamsburg, VA; and his sisters, Sandra N. Nobles of Chadbourn, Linda Wooten Rivenbark (Maurice) of Clarkton, Dianne Pittman (Jimmy) of Dillon, SC and Cynthia Gail Watson (Larry) of Tabor City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
