She was predeceased by: her father John Alfred Gooden; her husband James "Mac" McFerrin; and her brother John Daniel Gooden. She is survived by: her mother Quessie McQueen Gooden; her daughters, Pam Smith (Jimmy) of Greensboro, Jamie McFerrin (Roberta) of Newport News, VA and Kim Fackler (Neil) of Clarkton; her siblings, Mackie Gooden (Alice) of Clarkton and Sarah Melvin of Clarkton; her sister-in-law Alice Lou Gooden of Whiteville; her grandchildren, Colin Fackler, Josh Smith (Stephanie), Daniel Smith and Hannah Smith; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon Smith, Madelyn Smith, Savannah Smith and Ender Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
