He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirby Smith Pope and Marie Bell Squires Pope; and his brother Kenneth Pope of Clarkton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Powell Pope; his children, Michael Pope (Beth) of Clarkton and Gail Warren (Chris) of Sunset Beach; and his grandchildren, Kara Adams (Eddie) of Graham and Joshua Warren of Sunset Beach.
