He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Melville Dailey Sr. and Louine Porter Dailey. He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Dailey of Clarkton and Phyllis McDougald (Lawrence) of Clarkton; his nieces, Morgan McDougald Youngblood (Ross) and Camille McDougald-Russ (Brad); his close friend Deborah Heustess; and his caregiver Mel. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Porter Cemetery (7610 White Plains Church Rd, Clarkton, NC 28433).
