It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Heustess of Clarkton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Major Owens and Nora Duncan Owens; and her husband James Herman Heustess, Sr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Owens Lane, Linda Owens Leder and Mark Owens; her children, James Herman Heustess, Jr. (Rose Marie) of Pinehurst, NC and Anna Tolan of Whiteville; her sisters, Betty Rose Owens Purser of Raleigh, Joyce Owens Crawford of Wilmington, Lillian Owens Babson of Wilmington, Mildred Walter (Jack) and Anne Retruch of Garner; her grandson Meares Heustess; and her great grandchild James Kegan Heustess. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
