He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Colon Melvin and Tiny Melvin; his brother Carson Melvin; his wife Gladys Clayton; his stepchildren, Darrel Melvin, Deborah Melvin (Gary Saber), Pamela Bahm (Jim) and Patricia Robinson (Jerry); his great grandchildren, Colon Melvin (Cássia), Brandi Venema (Peter), Megan Powell (Grayson), Lauren Horne (Kevin), Quinton Bahm, Daulton Bahm, Marlee, Macelyn Robinson, Gunner Powell and Grace Horne; his sisters, Janice Edwards (Alton) of Riegelwood and Jo Blackburn of Clarkton; and his sister-in-law Sarah Melvin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clarkton Lions Club or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
