It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy McPherson of Clarendon, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McPherson and Bessie McPherson; his granddaughter Brianna McPherson; and his siblings, Lucy McPherson Monroe, Nellie McPherson Lee, Betty McPherson Lisk, Howard McPherson, Alfred McPherson and James David McPherson.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Cribb McPherson; his children, Roxanne McPherson Duncan of Morganton, NC, Tammy McPherson Coleman of Clarendon, NC, Amanda McPherson of Chadbourn, NC, Glenn McPherson of Chadbourn, NC., Rocky McPherson of Clarendon, NC. and Shandel McPherson of Whiteville, NC; and his brother Hoyt McPherson of Clarendon, NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
