It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Hinson of Clarendon, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on June 24, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lacy and Mattie Mae Cribb Hinson; and his siblings, Woodrow Hinson, George Lacey Hinson, Jr., Elbert Hinson, Ruby Hinson and Mertis Hinson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McPherson Hinson; his children, Carey Gene Hinson of Clarendon, NC, India Jean Hinson Boswell (Jamie) of Whiteville, NC and Misty Simmons (Brent) of Clarendon, NC; his sisters, Janice Powell of Clarendon, NC and Virgie McPherson of Clarendon, NC; and his grandchildren, Trevor Simmons, Embry Simmons, Lacey Hinson, Brody Hinson, Jesse Tyree and Ian Boswell.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic social distancing will be observed and the family ask that all attendees wear a mask.
