She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kerns (Shorty) and Angie Morgan Kerns; and her daughter Melissa Davis. She is survived by: her husband Mark Helms; her son William Davis of Hickory; and her stepchildren, Marcus Helms of Hickory and Jessica Helms Clark (Jermey) of Maiden.
