He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Claude Philyaw and Lois Kathleen Beane Philyaw. He is survived by: his wife Rita Greer Philyaw; his children, Eric Philyaw (Karen) of Lenoir, Todd Philyaw (Shannon) and April Bolick of Catawba; his brother Mike Philyaw (Debra) of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Cody, Tanner, Caiden, Bailey, Annabeth, Maggie Jo, Natalie (Eric), Dylan, Tyler (Mary), Steven, Brittany (Bobby) and Colby (Jenna); and his great grandchildren, Emmitt, Maren, Oliver, Tillie, Brennan and Kaden.
