We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2022, at the age of 86, Shirley Aleen Sigmon of Claremont, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh McCarter and Violet Shults McCarter Powell; and her sister Gaynell Mitchem. She is survived by: her husband Johnny Lewis Sigmon; her children, Richard Sigmon (Linda) of Hickory, Janine Van Horn of Claremont and Barbara Benfield of Newton; her grandchildren, Brandon Van Horn, Bryson Van Horn, Caitlin Sigmon and Taylor Sigmon; her sister-in-law Hazel Setzer of Claremont; and her aunt Donie Denton of Lincolnton.
