He was predeceased by: his parents, John Felix Shook and Nancy Lee Huffman Shook; and his sister Ann Barns. He is survived by: his wife Tina Renia Mullins Shook; his daughter Heather Dawn Shook Smart (Michael) of Morganton; his brothers, Dale Ray Shook (Tracy) of Maiden, Ricky Allen Shook (Louellen) of Claremont and Rex Curtis Shook (Donna) of Mooresville; and his grandchildren, Kadence Dillingham, Jasper Dillingham, Gracie Smart, Hailey Smart and Hunter Smart.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the First Baptist Church (4791 S Depot St, Claremont, NC 28610). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
