With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ricky Dean Powell of Claremont, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Powell and Jean Ligett Powell; and his wife Stephanie Jane "Janie" Powell. He is survived by: his children, Ricky D. Powell, Jr. (Kelli Moss) of Claremont and Abba Raver (Aaron) of Obetz, OH.; his siblings, Robert Powell (Sandy) of Jacksonville, FL. and Gina R. Cline of Columbus, OH.; his grandchildren, Ricky D. Powell III, McKenzie R. Powell, Autumn R. Powell, Steven G. Schaefer III, Danyele C. Raver Smith and Nathan M. Raver; his great grandchild Maddox Smith; and also, Bobbie Jean Powell, Gregory Triplett and Brielle Powell.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658).
