He is survived by: his wife Sherry King Dula; his children, Melvin Dula, Jr. (Heather) of Hickory, Ishmael Dula of Lenoir, Quadray Dula of Claremont, Misha Dula of Clearwater and Shardea Dula of Hickory; his grandchildren, Jadin Dula of Hickory, Melvin Dula, III of Hickory and Alecia of Hickory; his nieces and nephews, Johnny Hopper of Newton, Teresa Rippy of Hickory, Jason Dula, Alex King and Michelle Little; his siblings-in-law, Ron, Charles King and Leslie King; and his close friends, Randy Crawley, Willie Ray Wilson (Flash), Claude Evans (Cool Breeze), Hugh Griggs and Ronnie Little. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
