Though MaryNell VanHorn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those MaryNell VanHorn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Glenn and Ruth Fulbright VanHorn; her husband Marshall Shook; and her son Terry Shook. She is survived by: her sister Jo Anne Gilliam of Woodlawn, VA.; and her sisters-in-law, Louise Laws of Claremont, Shelva Shook of Claremont and Judy Spencer (Phillip) of Catawba.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mt. View Church (1248 Balls Creek Rd, Claremont, NC 28610). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
