It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Gene Hoke of Claremont, North Carolina, who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Eugene and Geneva Analeah Walling Hoke; his wife Wilma Miller Hoke; and his son Avery Glenn Hoke. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Simmons (Keith) of Claremont, Tammy Lewis (Scotty) of Claremont and Angie Aitken of Hickory; his siblings, Jerry Hoke of Claremont, Perry Hoke of Claremont, Janie Edwards (Paul) of Claremont and Janice Moser (Randy) of Claremont; and his grandchildren, Brandon Simmons, Bradley Simmons, Stacy Hoke, Meleah Boyd, Tyler Aitken and Lexi Aitken.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the First Baptist Church (4791 S Depot St, Claremont, NC 28610). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
