He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Edwin Carpenter Sr.; his wife Faye Hedrick Carpenter; and his siblings-in-law, Richard McGee, Donald Parker and Janet Parker.
He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth "Libby" Hunsucker Carpenter; his children, Ken Carpenter III (Julie) of Claremont, Ryan Carpenter of Claremont and Christi Carpenter of Claremont; his sister June McGee of Claremont; and his grandchildren, Jordan Hopkins, Cameron Hopkins, Cayman Carpenter and AJ Carpenter Many. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
