It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Freshour Brown of Claremont, North Carolina, born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Freshour and Kate Worsham Freshour; her husband Harold Brown; her siblings, Horrace Freshour, Edward Freshour, Sherman Freshour, Billy Randall, Juanita Kiser, Ethel Willis, May Freshour, Robbie Eller and Louise Haynes; and her son-in-law Scott Huffman.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy Childers (Randy) of Conover, Kim Sigmon (Randy) of Statesville, Sherri Huffman of Conover and Rhonda Gower (Tommy) of Claremont; and her grandchildren, Sarah Patton, Jessica Wullf, Chris Huffman, Joey Huffman, Emily Schrum, Katie Sigmon, Mary Potter, Cody Gower, Kayla Gower and Maria Gower.
