He is survived by: his wife Shirley H. Stewart; his children, Cindy Ford (James), Louis Stewart (Joan) of Claremont, Sandra Brandon (Toy H. Head Jr.) and Brenda Sink (Jeremy) of Winston Salem, NC; his sister Elizabeth McGuire of Corpus Christi, TX; and his grandchildren, Laura Swink (Brad) of Hickory, NC, Robbie Ford (Bridget) of Claremont, Christina Hedrick, Chris Chapman of Stoney Point, Cole Brandon of Winston Salem, Brianna Sink of Winston Salem and Zach Sink of Winston Salem.
