He is survived by: his children, Ricky McCray and Connie McCray; and his brother Kenneth McCray (Jean). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Conover, NC or Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont, NC.
