He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Connor and Helen Roseman Connor; and his son George Connor Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Nixon Connor of Newton; his children, Timmy Connor of Newton, Darline Foust (Mark) of Hickory, Betty Petty (Sedrick) of Claremont, Denise Avery (Scott) of Claremont, Crystal Connor of Newton and Kathy Connor of Hickory; his daughter-in-law Pat Connor of Newton; and his sisters, Leann Wilfong of Hickory, Brenda Ferguson of Statesville, Ann Connor of Conover and Eula Rose Keys of Newton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Word Church (1651 E P St Ext, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
