She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Clifton Sigmon and Dorothy Melinda Pope Sigmon; and her siblings, Clarence Sigmon Jr., Tony Sigmon, Ray Sigmon, James Sigmon, Charlie Sigmon and Carolyn Sigmon.
She is survived by: her husband Edwin Winters; her daughter Melinda Smith (David) of Newton; her brother Joe C. Sigmon (Betty) of Catawba; her sisters-in-law, Mary Sigmon of Claremont, Shirley Sigmon of Claremont and Connie Sigmon of Taylorsville; and her close friends, Ella Lee Brown, Bert Winebarger, Jennifer Walker of Trinity Village and Dr. David Cabral. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (5759 Bolick Rd, Claremont, NC 28610).
