We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2025, at the age of 80, Clayton William Baker of Claremont, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sue Gilliam Sigmon and Claude Sigmon; his brothers, Berry Baker and Benny Sigmon; and his grandchildren, Ryan Yount and Denise Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Baker; his children, Brian Baker (Jana), Wendy Yount (Brian), Kristi Knapp and Chad Baker (Erin); and his sisters, Helen Powers, Azilda Duncan, Janice Hill (Eugene) and Betty Sweeney. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Catawba Funeral Home (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
