He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Thomas "Pete" and Annie Beavers Chandler; and his brothers, David Thomas Chandler and Bobby Lee Chandler. He is survived by: his grandson Layton; his wife Peggy Dixon Chandler; his sons, Michael Ruffin Chandler (Michelle) and Layton Chandler of Greenville; his stepson Mark Timothy King (Judy); his stepgrandchildren, Mason and Logan King of Nashville, TN; his stepson Paul Christopher King (Sheila); his stepgrandchildren, Matthew, Christopher King and Courtney Lancaster; his siblings, Sue Woolard (Alger) of Pinetown and Barney Gene Chandler (Carlotta) of Vanceboro; and his close friend Linwood Broadway. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
