It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Gaskins Jr. of Chocowinity, North Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Elmo Gaskins, Sr. and Frances Gaskins; and his daughter Amanda Gaskins. He is survived by: his son Todd Gaskins (Kayla) of Chocowinity; his siblings, Robert Gaskins (Pam) of Vanceboro, David Lee Gaskins of Kinston and Ann Gaskins Miller (Gerald) of Kinston; his grandchildren, Cheradyn, Grace, Landon, Bently, Paisly, Traner and Isaiah Gaskins; and also Todd Gaskins.
Due to the current pandemic, a private memorial service will be held later.
