He is survived by: his mother Martha Howard of Washington; his wife Mitzie; his daughter Stephanie Sumner (Casey Sumner); his grandchildren, Saylor and Keagan of Carolina Beach; his daughter Lacy Galloway; his siblings, Georgia Howard of Atlantic Beach, Allen Howard (Susie) of Elm City and Jerry Howard (Susan) of Texas; and his friends, Debbie and Jerry Raper of Wilson, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his special friends.
