He was predeceased by: his father Dalton Elks; his brother Gerald Elks; his nephew Matthew Goldberg; and his niece Kati Harris. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Dixon Elks; his sisters, Sharon Housley (Doug) of Chocowinity and Donna Pittman (Allen) of Washington; his sister-in-law Lori Elks; his nieces and nephews, Wayne Harris (Callie) of Greenville, Tania Harris of Chocowinity, Emily Toler of Atlanta, GA, Jacob Pittman of Washington and Michael Goldberg of Virginia Beach; his great-niece Katie Harris of Washington; and his children, Darlene Hawks, Annie Corey, Simone Reid, Bryan Ochoa and Willie Moore.
