She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Sanders, Sr. and Dolores L. Sanders; her husband Murrell "Tom" Sawyer, Sr.; and her brothers, Charles Sanders, Jr. and Douglas Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Rachel Gardner (Terry) of Chocowinity, NC, Brian Sawyer (Rene') of Edenton, NC and Tom Sawyer (Tiffany) of Vero Beach, FL; and her siblings, Pamela Lubaszewski (Bob) of Linthicum Heights, MD and William Sanders (Beth) of Elkridge, MD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Hermon Methodist Church (11424 Newland Rd, Creswell, NC 27928).
