It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ola Forbes Jr. (Chocowinity, North Carolina), who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Forbes and Edna Smith Forbes; his wife Gloria Forbes; his grandchildren, Gary Wayne Peed, Jr. and April Elaine Weaver; his great grandchild Hunter Weaver; and his sister Ann Forbes Bell.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Carrow (Tony) of Pinetown, Olive Waters (Jeffray) of Chocowinity and Jason Forbes; his great grandchildren, Amanda Cumbo of Jacksonville, Dillon and Austin Weaver of Wake Forest; and his siblings, Tom Forbes of Washington, Bill and Gloria Forbes of Grand Junction, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcomed and may be delivered to Wayside Presbyterian Church from 9:00 am until 10:30 am prior to the service and memorials may be made to, Wayside Memorial fund, P.O. Box 70, Chocowinity, NC 27817.
