With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Dixon Bright of Chocowinity, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Mayhew Dixon and Hilda Lee Hill Dixon; her husband Virgil Lynn Bright, Sr.; her son Virgil Lynn Bright, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Paula Jo Mizelle Bright; her sister Mary Etta D. Hill; her brother-in-law Billy Hill; and her granddaughter Erica Faith Boyd.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Bright Sumeracki (Steve) of Greenville; her siblings, Catherine D. Price of Camden, SC and C. M. Dixon (Jeannie) of Vanceboro; her grandchildren, Charli Briar Boyd of Cumming, GA and Michael Kosto of Chocowinity; and her great grandchildren, Eli Kosto and Colton Kosto of Chocowinity.
