He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Monroe Powers Sr. and Mamie Jane Taylor Powers; his wife Mildred Mae Weatherly; and his great grandchild Nicholas Ray Stokesberry. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Powers Carter (John) of Chocowinity and Jesse Monroe Powers, III (Vickie); his grandchildren, Lisa Marie Stokesberry (Linwood Jr.) of Chocowinity, Jesse Monroe Powers, IV of Wilmar and Galen Michael Powers of Greenville; and his great grandchild Linwood Stokesberry.
