We bid farewell to Jesse M. Powers Jr. of Chocowinity, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 28, 2024 at the age of 100. Jesse touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Monroe Powers Sr. and Mamie Jane Taylor Powers; his wife Mildred Mae Weatherly; and his great grandchild Nicholas Ray Stokesberry. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Powers Carter (John) of Chocowinity and Jesse Monroe Powers, III (Vickie); his grandchildren, Lisa Marie Stokesberry (Linwood Jr.) of Chocowinity, Jesse Monroe Powers, IV of Wilmar and Galen Michael Powers of Greenville; and his great grandchild Linwood Stokesberry.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Paul Funeral Home - Washington (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
