He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Ricks Elks and Gladys Crisp Elks; his wife Peggy Martin Elks; and his siblings, Tannis Medford Elks, Ashley Merriel Elks and Nancy Dortres Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Elks Roman (Charles) of Chocowinity, Timothy Ricks Elks of Chocowinity, Susan Elks Black (Allen) of Durham, Vickie Elks Baynor of Washington and Kristy Elks Crisp (Fonzie) of Grimesland; his grandchildren, Mary Beth Stroud (Donnie), Chelsea Baynor (Braxton Gardner), Chase Baynor (Colleen), Chaleigh Asby (Michael), Zachary Burcik, Ayden Boggs, Kaleigh Bullock (Hunter) and Hayden Crisp; his great grandchildren, Sawyer Stroud, Hazel Stroud, Harper Stroud, Riggins Asby and Tannis Gardner; his sister Ollie Elks Allen; and his half-sister Lisa Delisa.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fifteenth Street Church of God (336 E 15th St, Washington, NC 27889). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Ervin Ricks Elks, Jr.'s name to 15th Street Church of God, P.O. Box 1514, Washington, NC 27889.
