He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lendell Cox and Letha Hughes Cox; his brother Linwood Cox (Norma); and his nephew David Cox C. W. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Grooms Cox; his daughters, Ann C. Barnes (Wayne) and Becky Cox; his grandson Nathan Barnes; his niece Mary Lendell Thomas (Roger); his aunt Eula Rousseau Church; and his siblings-in-law, Stacy Grooms, Elizabeth Melvin, Lucile Black, Sue Cain and Joyce Coleman.
