She was predeceased by: her father John Davis Mitchell; and her husband James E. "Pop" Alston. She is survived by: her children, Page A. Blackburn (Graham) of Chocowinity and Ed Alston (Leslie) of Aurora; her grandchildren, Danni Manning (Phillip) of Southport and Madison Page (Blackburn); her great grandchildren, J. D. Manning and Briar Ray Manning; her siblings, Jack Mitchell (Ruth) of Washington, Donald "Duck" Mitchell (Terry) of Washington, Judy Futrell (Allen) of Chocowinity, Toni Burkett (Aubrey) of Greenville and Tammy Whaley (Kenneth) of Chocowinity; and her close friend Bill Outland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
