She was predeceased by: her husband Gurman James Jones; and her siblings, Arthur Garland Sloan and Eleanor Gray Sloan Sanders. She is survived by: her children, Craig Jones (Paula) of Asheville, Deborah Merritt (Billy) of Rose Hill, Lisa Edwards (Charles) of Beulaville, Melody Strickland (Tony) of Chinquapin and Jody Jones of Dayton; her grandchildren, Denise Jones Davis, Michael Jones, Justin Edwards, Leslie Edwards Ivey, Danielle Strickland Brown, Candice Strickland Haugene, Isabella Jones and Logan Jones; her brother Gordon Sloan (Marie) of Maple Hill; her sister-in-law Nelda Sloan of Channelview; her nephew Terry Sloan (Jackie); her sisters-in-law, Peggy Williams (Durwood) and Reba Jones; and her friend Kathleen Southerland of Chinquapin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
