He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marshall Garside; his daughter Marie Stephens (Graham) of Scotland; his grandchildren, Danielle and Robbie; his son Nicholas Garside (Erika) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchild Ashton; his daughter Jessica Garside of Graham, NC; his granddaughter Savannah; his siblings, William "Bill" Garside (Carol) of Illinois, Twila Foster (Charlie) of Iowa, Heather Pearson (Roger) of Iowa and Amber Leasure of Iowa; and his brothers-in-law, Emmett Foss of New Bern and Leroy Marshall (Debbie) of Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
