He was predeceased by: his former wife Louise Speight; his wife Dorothy Speight; his parents, Rachel Speight and John Speight; his stepson Micheal Whaley; and his sister Joyce Humphrey.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Speight Sawyer (Jimmie) of Jacksonville; his stepchildren, Missy Norris (Andy) of Chinquapin and Timmy Whaley; his siblings, Mike Speight (Wendy) of Maysville and Maxine Adams (David) of Maysville; his brother-in-law Fred Humphrey of Bear Creek; and his grandsons, Christopher Hill and Brett Hill (Kitrina).
