She was predeceased by: her parents, York M. Deal and Della Castor Deal; her husband Hoyle S. Garver; and her son Keith M. Garver. She is survived by: her children, Sharon G. Hodges (Slade) and Steven Garver (Jan); her grandchildren, Stephanie Burleson (Andy), Eric Cline (Kristy), April Kircher (Jason), Angela Garver and Samantha Garver; and her great grandchildren, Caden, Keyan and Kalum.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Gennie with memorials in her honor to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, 750 Mt. Moriah Church Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
