It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth (Speight) Knowles of China Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Joseph Speight and Fannie Mae Mills Speight; her husband Jennings Harold Knowles; and her sister Phyllis S. Upright. She is survived by: her son Jimmy Knowles (Sherry); her sister Maxine Kirk; her niece Pam U. Thompson (Chris); her nephew Todd Upright (Rhonda); her granddaughter Jennifer K. Schilling (Wes); her great grandchildren, Rebekah and Luke Schilling; her daughters, Elayna, Leah Thompson, McKenzie Upright, Trey Upright and Macayla Upright; her stepgrandsons, Tim McCorkle (Tonia) and Jon Nance; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor McCorkle and Madalynn Nance.
