He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Samual James and Ruth Frances James. He is survived by: his wife Naomi James; his sons, Jeff James, Mark James, Kevin James and Andrew James; his stepchildren, Mitchell Sheets and Rhonda Starnes; and his brothers, Wayne James and Michael James. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations in his honor to his church (Crown Pointe Baptist Church).
