He is survived by: his wife Judi Adams Helms; his children, Jay Gregory Helms and Bari LeAnne Helms of China Grove; his pets, Vegas, Allie and Little; and his siblings, Judy Mullis (Nelson) of Mt. Pleasant, Gary Helms (Marilyn) of Highpoint, Levoy Helms (Kay) of Concord and Darrell Helms of Charlotte.
