He was predeceased by: his parents, John Luther and Mary Robinson Luther. He is survived by: his sisters, Louise Haynes and Sue Leonard; his half-brother John Frank Luther, Jr. (Those); his wife Lydia Crisp "Lou" Luther; his children, Scott Luther (Denise) and Trina Wertz; his sister Carolyn Scercy; his grandchildren, Chris Hamilton (Elizabeth) and John Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Autumn Holloway and John Hamilton, II. He is also survived by his five stepchildren.
