He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Hayden, Ann Yates of Salisbury, Charles and Elizabeth Bolick of Blowing Rock. He is survived by: his parents, Jim Yates and Linda Bolick Yates; his wife Darlene Yates of China Grove; and his brothers, Steve Yates (Sheila) of Thomasville and Scott Yates (Kelly) of Salisbury.
