She was predeceased by: her father Gilbert Henderson Ritchie; her husband Jason Eugene Sherrill; her son Vernon Sherrill; and her brothers, George Ritchie, Hoke Ritchie, Ray Ritchie and Jay Ritchie.

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Henderson Poe; and her grandchildren, Kevin Henderson (Lisa), Sean Henderson (Kimberly), Timothy Henderson (Jennifer), Brett Sherrill (Sherry), Karen Sherrill Watts (Lee), Savannah, Sawyer, Mattox, McCall Henderson and Levi Sherrill.
