She was predeceased by: her father Elbert Jewell; and her siblings, Brenda Teetsel and Eldon Teetsel. She is survived by: her husband Charles Thomas Carmean; her children, Aaron T., Adam N. Carmean, Bethany J. Rehme (Ken) and Keturah H. Callaway (Eddie); and her grandchildren, Nevaeh, Addison Carmean, Drake and Jax Callaway.

Memorial contributions can be made in Laura's memory to Damascus Baptist Church Mission Fund, 128 Old Arbor Ln, Statesville, NC 28625.
