He is survived by: his wife Martha Carpenter; his sons, Johnny Carpenter of Rockwell, Jimmy Carpenter (Kelly) of Rockwell and Shane Carpenter of Salisbury; his sister Jeanie Beaver (Wade) of China Grove; his grandsons, Nicholas Carpenter (Kera), Jonathan Carpenter (Tori), Corey Carpenter (Olivia) and Dylan Carpenter (Hailey); and his great grandchildren, Emma, Knox and Henry Carpenter.
