It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Patrick Jaap of China Grove, North Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, John Jaap and Patricia Jaap; his wife Annelise Jaap; his daughters, Amanda Berns (Christopher Berns) and Hillary Jaap (Jorge Martinez Blatz); his grandchildren, Sophia and Topher Berns; and his siblings, Amy (Paxton Butler), David (Stephanie Jaap), Jason Jaap, Audra Lowman, Steve (Gretna Rice) and Hamlin (Pam Ortiz-Marty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A reception was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels of Rowan County in his memory.
