He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John Alson Lineberry Sr. and Jane Lassiter Lineberry Armstrong; his wife Kathy R. Lineberry; his sister Jacqueline Lineberry; and his stepsister Mary Armstrong Cuthbertson.
He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Bates (Jay); his sister Martha L. McQueen; his stepsister Ruth A. Taylor; his niece Angela M. Wells; and his nephew Angus A. McQueen III.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Thyatira Presbyterian Church (220 White Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in John's memory or donations to Faith Baptist Church in Faith, NC, or Thyatira Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, NC, in John's memory.
