He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Honeycutt and Berlie Silmon Honeycutt; his wife Shirley Pethel Honeycutt; his son James Honeycutt, Jr.; his siblings, Jerry Honeycutt, Daphne Plott, Jane Krimmenger and Audrey Hall; and his granddaughter Taylor Honeycutt.

He is survived by: his son Craig; his daughter-in-law Leslie Honeycutt; his grandson Matthew (Morgan Honeycutt); his great grandchild Cade Honeycutt; and his siblings, David Honeycutt and Catherine Morris.
