He was predeceased by: his parents, James Covington Swanner and Eva Vina Atkinson Swanner; his wife Willie Parker Swanner; and his siblings, Mary Alice Swanner, Faye Patterson, Maye Cook and Charles Swanner.
He is survived by: his children, James T. Swanner, Jr. (Ann) of Granite Quarry, Linda Stirewalt (Tony) of China Grove and Carolyn Vanderburg (Ray) of China Grove; and his sisters, Margaret Linker of China Grove, Ruth Adams of China Grove and Shirley Wilson of China Grove. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen greatgrandchildren and one great great grandchild.
